Pickle Roll Ups
Feb. 22nd, 2006 04:27 pmWhy? Because I'm hungry for Pickle Roll Ups now, that's why.
Ingredients:
1 block cream cheese (leave it out overnight/during the day so it's
nice-n-soft)
1 jar Gedney whole pickles
1 lb (approx) deli-sliced ham (we usually get the baby pit ham at Cub,
but any ham that's fairly thin but still hangs together w/o too many
holes it it will do)
Cut the pickles in quarters lengthwise. Let them drain a little so
they're not so wet.
Spread the cream cheese on a slice of ham.
Roll the pickle up in the ham--cream cheese side towards the pickle
Slice and stack (and eat)
I usually have extras left over of one thing or another. . .

Date: 2006-02-23 12:45 am (UTC)I was skeptical because I read the lj-cut ("pickle roll ups") and was thinking fruit roll-ups, but made from pickles instead of fruit.
