I'm actually rather fond of the artwork. As far as training books go, it's quite good and (I've been told) above the standards of the genre. Seeing as how the standards I've seen are fairly low...I'll just take that as it is.

...as far as the semi-good American short-story goes....well, I still have time in my life to write something that I (and hopefully others) will enjoy. Editing is all well and good, so is corporate tomfoolery but someday there will be something that is truly mine.

As much as I don't put stock in Zodiac signs/astrology/elemental signs, I do believe that I fit neatly under what one would construe as an "Earth sign." I like doing things with my hands, gardening, physically being *in* the dirt (and if I ever find that picture of my sister and I taking mud baths when we were little, I'll post it). I would say that I'm in my "zen space" when I'm outside. My house decor (or lack thereof) is in earth-tones and natural wood.

So naturally clay appeals to me. Check this guy out: http://www.doclay.com/ . A wonderful example of local Minneapolis "unknown" art. I wish I had the resources to sculpt things like that.
