This year marks the third year in a row that my boss has given my tax info to me (1099's and such) AFTER January. It's the second year in a row that my boss hasn't given my tax info to me until April.

It is, however, the FIRST year that I haven't gotten my tax stuff yet. I have 6 days until taxes are due.

It's downright illegal...no, really, it's illegal. However, reporting it to the proper authorities wouldn't really get ME anything, and any kind of fines would only hurt the employees (since we're such a small workplace).

So I have 6 days to do my taxes...but that's assuming I get them today as promised.

Oh man, that STINKS!!! I feel for you. We get ours on the very last day of January, and that alone feels like I have to wait forever. Does it make you feel any better that the deadline has been bumped to the 17th?

It has!? That is fantastic news--that gives me 8 days (assuming I get the forms today as promised).

How did I not hear of this earlier? Puzzling.

Yes! Our company accountant told me about it, and sure enough, check this out:

I don't know how to do links, so if that doesn't work as a link you may have to cut and paste to get to the page, but it's the official word from the IRS. :)
