Cat Post time.

pen_gruntI was playing around with the camera and took a few kitty pics. For those interested (I'm guessing a relative few, but I've got to be a proud kitty-mommy sometimes) they're behind the cut.
Always strategically placed on the stairs...just waiting for unsuspecting humans (note: NOT the stairs that Derrick fell down--they're not allowed on that house level):
Smokey likes the, "I'm going to put my own toy out of my reach, and when you give it back to me, I'm just going to bat it out of my reach again...it's a fun game!" game.
Smokey also likes impersonating a dog. Note the sideways head cock, so typical of a puppy.

As for toy-under-the-door... this morning I found half a dozen hair elastics under the downstairs door, and I know who shoved them there. I just don't know how she's GETTING them.
