Mar. 7th, 2007 02:40 amSan Diego is quick drawing to a close and I haven't said a darn thing about it.
It's nice.
There, that's one thing.
I've been busy--if not with actually doing our thang, it's been networking and doing the boss-says-I-go-out-with-client thing.
Today I got to spend about 30 minutes outside, and I think I burnt something. Sunday we walked around San Diego for about 5 hours and got all sorts of ungodly blisters.
I went to Fleming's two nights for dinner--and honestly had the best steak I've ever tasted--and I've had a helluva lot of steaks in my short days.
The game shows went well.
They have Pixie Sticks in the lobby of our hotel--which makes me remember that you can't touch anything wet to the end of a Pixie Stick--including ones' mouth or tongue, for fear of cloggage.
San Diego seems small. I've already met 4 people who speak Swedish. I've met two people (random strangers literally on the street) who know people that I know.
Our tech guy had a mouth that reminded me of an ex (wide and thin---very strange), and I realized how odd it is to see a body part transposed on another person with which you have no context.
I like traveling a lot more than I used to, I think. Of course, this whole business travel thing is spoiling me right good.
The client was supposed to feed us in leiu of per diems---they ended up not feeding us (save for lunch today) so for four days I've had dinner only. Argh.
I'm in random mode today. And by random I mean ramble.

Date: 2007-03-07 04:18 pm (UTC)I'm glad you finally had a trip you actually enjoyed a little!
I just keep jumping at the fact that it's already a week into March . . . *shakes head* . . . but SPRING will be here soon! And I'm aching for it! I can't wait for the first good thunderstorm . . . (speaking of random rambling . . . )

Date: 2007-03-10 10:26 pm (UTC)March? I can't believe that it's not still February. Whenever I'm out of town time seems to stand still when it really moves quite well along its merry way.

Date: 2007-03-11 04:50 pm (UTC)1. The resteraunt scene seemed really boring to me... all steakhouses downtown :) That doesn't excite me the way it does you.
2. Crummy beer scene
3. (deal-breaker) Sprawl and bike unfriendliness.
Everyone was warm an engaging. In my summer west coast travels, I expected SF to be the city I liked :) I was really wrong.
