In which Missy is girlie
Sep. 18th, 2006 04:03 pmI'm super-duper excited about my new shoes. Irrationally so.

(Mine are brown instead of black...though they look pretty much the same as these.
Hey, they're cute. Now the only thing is, I'm worried about when they wear out. Yeah, I know, I'm a nutter, but I get attached to shoes (which explains why Derrick had to threaten to physically throw out my old, battered, sole-barely-there sneakers before I would get new ones). The second I start wearing them (today) is the second that they start deteriorating. No wonder I never buy "new" things.
My shock of the day: seeing little, tiny, itsy-bitsy baby Nike Shoxx (you know, the ones that look like they have springs) for $50. Seriously, kids grow so quickly as tiny babies, why would any parent buy them expensive sneakers? I mean, these weren't even for kids who were old enough to WALK yet.
I give up, I try to fit into materialism, but I just can't quite do it all the way.
