Splurge!

We ended up dropping $400 on a dishwasher today. It's a $700 model (so nice, but it won't go collect my dishes for me or anything); there are advantages to having appliance failures on memorial day weekend.

It's not the most expensive appliance, true, but there are a ton of things I would rather spend money on. I had planned to go out tonight, but now D is ankle-deep in water (when the old one broke it really broke) and it's been an ordeal.

It's just so blah today, and now my anxiety is rising for...no reason? Blah.

Does D need help with anything? I'm not mechanically gifted, but I could push things around or hold flashlights or something. I'd just need to be home by 6 PM. And maybe get my run in before I show up. Let me know.

He got it in last night, but not before additional trips because--surprise!--the universal connector they sold him was not universal for that machine.
