She lives!

pen_gruntI missed a whole day of rehearsal yesterday, which officially makes me a BAD person (in my own mind more than others', however). I sat through show day #1 today kind of hunched over backstage.
I managed to get half a bun down and two bottles of Powerade. This is a vast improvement over yesterday's not-being-able-to-hold-down-water conditions. I'm working with people who are either dads or (at least) uncles, and it's humbling and rather embarrassing when the CEO of a 12 billion dollar company is making sure that someone gets you Pedialyte (which, by the way, tastes like watered-down Robitussin).
We figured out that the ONLY things that I ate that no one else touched were my fresh cucumber and tomato slices on the side of my beef-broccoli Vietnamese dish. I'm guessing they were cut on a surface that hadn't been washed properly. Curse my love of fresh veggies.
I'm finding that being sick is not doing anything to dispel my general dislike for Las Vegas. Lists forthcoming. Additionally: How is it possible that my TV has 5 (yes 5!) Japanese channels, but no FX with the new episode of Rescue Me (aka: Desperate Fireman, Sex in the City for Boys)?
