Julia, Julia
Jun. 13th, 2014 03:20 pmI've been having some trouble sleeping. Nothing to speak of, but it makes me return to old soporific staples. The entirety of The French Chef streams for free via Amazon Prime (Amazon Prime is pretty much worth it for me for that alone).
So I put on headphones and watch/listen to Julia Child cook things until I fall asleep.
I love watching Julia Child so much. I can't even say. She's soothing. I don't even cook. She reminds me of my grandmother (in voice and manner).
She attributed her longevity to red meat and gin.
She is always adding more butter and more wine.
Also, she was a good ol' liberal.
For example: "Pro-choice is the only way to be-- because women are human beings, after all, and should be treated as such."
I mean...how can I not love her?
