For my friends who are sick of election stuffs: this post is non-partisan. :)

I was clearly excited/anxious about the upcoming election last night, because I kept waking up during the night and having all sorts of weird dreams.

In one of my dreams, my polling place had replaced our paper ballots with old-school arcade machines. I couldn't get mine to work. The cranky election judge told me to select the game with the blue dinosaur and that was my ballot--but I couldn't find said game in the mass of games to select. Someone was trying to help me, but she got yelled at for doing so.

OTHER people had paper ballots. I asked why I couldn't just use one of them.
"Clearly you're too stupid for this voting machine, go to the PCs."

And so I went to the PC-voting (with a line of people with paper ballots behind me that I WANTED TO USE TOO but they wouldn't let me). And the PC ballot had questions like, "Do you think Oil of Olay products should be allowed to contain animal proteins?" and my favorite, "What is your favorite cut of beef?"

And I was all, "WTF?! This is NOT a legitimate ballot! Are we really voting on which cuts of beef we prefer? What does this mean for a NY Strip if I choose something else?"

It was crazysauce. Luckily when I got to the polls this morning it was the good ol' paper ballot.
