Passive-Aggressive Politics
Aug. 9th, 2007 12:10 amI found this in the ladies' restroom in the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. I saw it, then had to go up to my boss and beg him to lend me his iPhone so I could snap a picture--so sorry for the poor quality...camera phones and all...

Right sentiment, wrong message. (On a side note, if you're going to post a public protest, please get tenses and capitalization CLOSE to what they're supposed to be, yah?) I think there are plenty of reasons to be perturbed and regretful about the leader in question that don't involve taking off my shoes or throwing away my shampoo at the airport (only the latter of which really bothers me in the slightest).
But really...posting this on the toilet paper dispenser in the ladies' room at the airport? Not that anyone minds a little reading material, but the next time I went into the bathroom it had already been torn partially off. Seems a little, well, passive-aggressive and just not that effective as a lasting statement. And again, I can be mad at Bush for plenty of things (and very, very frequently am), but I just can't muster up that much ire over taking my shoes off.
