Thrift Store Success
Jun. 18th, 2011 10:17 pmI had ridiculously good dress-luck when D and I went out thrift-storing today. Because finding things is quite rare, when you happen upon a whole mess of stuff that works it's kind of exhilarating.
Come, look at my pretties: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100849029160690.3243280.13953311&l=474a8df9c9
I'm posing like a dork, but ah well. That's just from today. I could take pictures of a lot of other fancy-schmancy dresses that I've procured at thrift stores over the months/years.
Most of my wardrobe is thrift-store based. It's not because I can't afford to shop at other stores--rather this is more fun, and the already-worn aspect doesn't bother me a whit. It's a victory; I probably spent about $50 today, total. I know for a fact that the Limited shirt dress that I purchased would have been over that alone, new with tags. Oh wait, it DID still have its tags (and spare button) and it cost $12. Suck it, retail.
[Oh, and I also got some shirts too, and a pair of shorts. . . but they weren't as exciting.]
