Our cat is an old black man.

For those unfamiliar with the Wii, it has this feature where you create a little avatar called a "Mii".

Your Mii is a graphic representation of yourself.

Derrick created his own Mii right away, of course, and then he created one for me while I was upstairs busying myself with other things. I came downstairs to check on him and asked him to show me his Mii--and the Mii he created for me.

He handed over the control, and I navigated to the Mii section. There, I found Derrick, a sharp and cool looking brown-haired dude with a goatee (pretty close, there). Me, a cute little blonde haired Mii which Derrick had chosen to put in pigtails (pretty close there, too).

Then there was this 50-60 year old black Mii with a big bush of silver-gray hair.

"What's this old black dude Mii, here?" I ask my husband, already amused and curious.

"Oh," he replies through already-starting giggles, "That's Smokey."

Smokey is our cat. Our big, puffy gray cat. Who is now represented as a 60 year old black dude.

"I haven't created one for Puck yet," he says sheepishly.

I wonder what race/hair color/characteristics a black and gray and brown striped tabby will have.

I found it incredibly amusing. He now created one for our other cat, too.
