Strange Dreams

Last night I, for the millionth time, had a dream about my fish dying. I keep having these dreams--and it's not just random fish, it's MY fish in MY fish tank that die because of ME. The "dream dictionaries" (not that I put too much stake in such things) seem to say that this is indicative of financial insecurity. I chalk it up to having a very strange fear of dead fish. (Yes, dead fish. When one dies in the tank, I won't look at the tank until Derrick has cleaned out the fish--I just can't do it.) Funny, I have no problem with eating fish, or looking at LIVE fish.
Then again, my dream also included getting a new snow-white kitten (which has some basis of truth--we are looking for a new kitten) and a small white dog that turned into a roll of soggy toilet paper (not "used," just soggy). I took the dog to my Grandma C's house to get her approval and it turned into a roll of toilet paper. Just to show how far off the dream was, Grandma was appropriately cranky, but was CLEANING the whole house. It looked amazing. Then the kitten (which had turned into two kittens at this point--"Agamemnon" and "Zed") defecated in the corner of the kitchen--really pissing my dad off...for some reason...because he was there...for some reason...
*Shakes head*
Then I was trying to seduce Derrick in my childhood bed...the room was arranged like it was when I was about 9 or so, but I was full grown. It was odd.
Dream interpreters? Have at it.
I love it when I dream "weird" dreams. Almost as much as I like it when I "finish" a book in my dreams.

Date: 2006-03-21 08:49 pm (UTC)I do like the point that your dream makes though. Grandma's approval is as valuable as a soggy roll of toilet paper. HeeHee! I always have dreams about being somewhere, and then having to get back to where I belong. Like when I was in England, I kept dreaming that I was back in the States, and I didn't know how, or didn't have enough time, to get back to England. I hate anxiety dreams.
