Don't Celebrate V-day?

Sick of the V-day posts? The rampant news articles touting the benefits of chocolate, strategically aligned to coincide with V-day? The lovey-dovey, romantic stuff that's floating around? The random clients and friends that wish you happy V-day?
Well then, forget all that and join me in wishing my mother a happy birthday.
Because she's wonderful and cheery and sweet. And she's also 59. But don't tell her I told you that.
Tonight she will come home and my father will give her two bouquets of flowers. One "romantic" red rose bouquet for V-day, and one "friendship/lover" yellow rose bouquet (or similar pretty-but-sweet thing) for her B-day. How do I know? Because he's done this every year that I can remember. It's sweet.
Happy Birthday Mom.
Now if I can just remember to call her.
