I can't open Photoshop at the moment, but if I could I would make a cat macro out of this picture of Puck and Smokey:

Oh hai. We're in yur ceiling, warmin our feets on yur pipes.

Sometimes, when I'm out of town, I do miss the kids. By kids, I mean cats. Yeah, I know that makes me one of those cat people, but at least I don't do outfits and funny little cat voices.

"but at least I don't do outfits and funny little cat voices."

. . . yet.

Or ever...because, really, even if I wanted to the cats would have very different ideas about that.

I was more referring to the voices than the outfits . . .

Now if I don't talk to kids or babies in funny little voices, why on earth would I talk to cats in funny little voices?

That'd be 'cause you haven't reached your full potential for Crazy yet. :)

I do funny little cat voices, and cat songs.

:(

Is it too late for me?

I do TALK to the cats constantly...but in a normal tone of voice--like they're just other people in the room. I'm not sure if that's technically better or worse.

I think referring to myself as "mommy" in their presence might mean that it's worse.

He would be right up there in the warm-water pipes with them, I'm sure :)

Here's to kitties, and the owners who love them.

Your tabby looks amazingly like my Mr. Pig (Avery). Does he have circular markings on his sides?

He does--they sort of remind me of the loops and whorls of fingerprints. He's a humane society mutt kitty, but he looks pretty enough that I can imagine some sort of special breeding somewhere up his line.

Part tortie, part hellraiser mischief cat.

That's how Avery is marked, although the older he gets, the blacker he gets, especially along his back.

I never saw Avery's mother, but his sister (who I still feel guilt to this day for not adopting) had tabby markings and orange patches. Your kitty baby lacks the perpetually grumpy look Avery carries, but other than that, remarkable likeness. :)

That's a great picture (of cute cats). Hee!

There is a Hello Kitty costume for cats . . . which is just wrong. (Yet funny! On other cats).

I cannot imagine either of my cats putting up with costuming.

Then again, they do like to be under blankets and such, so maybe a cape. . .
