Isn't Work Grand?
Feb. 24th, 2006 09:39 amI open up my computer this morning, and almost instantly I get this message from my sister (
pointedthings):
"Things that I find upon arrival to the office on a Friday morning that I don't think anyone else does: empty Miller High Life cans, the remnants or whatever it is that's left over after smoking pot-on top of my desk, the lovely wallpaper of the University of Birmingham has been changed to dozens of pictures of pandas fucking. Thank goodness it's Friday."
I just about died laughing.
I ended up working until about 2 a.m. last night on Intel PowerPoints. *sigh* FUN!
But I have to keep in mind that I do like my job. Why?
Because sometimes, inexplicably, there are balloon animals.
Sometimes there are sermons:
Co-worker: The Bible says that men should love their wives and wives should submit to their husbands. It's from Paul's letters.
Me: Really? I always interpreted that as, "Men should love their wives, and wives should *try* not to kill their husbands in their sleep."
And more often, there are play-doh demons.
Edit: Okay, so I couldn't get the balloon animals to load...but you can imagine that they're just barrels of fun.
