May. 11th, 2007 10:44 amThis resort has a LivePerson calling guests for their wakeup calls as opposed to a RobotVoice person or, in Disney Resorts' cases, Mickey Mouse.
I wonder if the LivePerson knows full well whether or not people are going to actually get up after they're called. Mine took it upon themselves to call me back in 10 minutes with an unsolicited reminder call. It was a good thing--I had fallen back asleep and I NEEDED to get up. I imagine they've gotten pretty good at knowing whether people were asleep or awake when they answer the phone. Maybe they can sense when people NEED to get up or when they're okay left sleeping too.
There's a whole specialty there.
I have to ride with my boss back to San Diego this morning after enduring a whole Monday morning drive of, "Whee, let's go down this mountain with no guard rails FAST!" Since our flight is a red-eye, we should have some time in San Diego--and I'm itching to go to the zoo. Let's see if I can pester my boss into that, shall we? He wants to do Tijuana.
