I'm not supposed to open my bright, new, shiny health care plan and be filled with feelings of helplessness and despair.

We've had 4 health care plans in less than 4 years, and each one entails less coverage for more money.

That doesn't so MUCH bother me (I'm hardly ever sick) but the difference between paying a $15 co-pay, and a $25 co-pay is more than enough to keep me out of the doctors office for good (and thus, not using this expensive policy at all).

And there's nothing I can DO to make it better or different.

Edit: Bad health care surprizes, fight with boss immediately afterwards (not related to health care)...ugh, BAD day.

Really - the only decent way to get a decent health plan is to work for a large company (and benefit from their buying power).

Even with that buying power and a "good" plan - theres been a lot of double-digit percent increases in the last few years.

Then again - you could always move to a country with universal health care ....

Ugh, I think the costs of moving and traveling back to see my family all the time might outweigh the vastly superior health care systems of other countries.

Though come to think of it, Canada isn't really that far away...and Minnesota IS like Canada Jr. (or at least Canada Jr. for some parts of Canada). . .
