The Trifecta is Complete
Feb. 27th, 2007 08:46 pmThe trifecta of Bad Things that Happen to Cars is complete. Over the past 2 days, we have had:
1. The front wheel pop (get slashed by some unknown alleyway object) on the passenger side of my van. Husband patched this successfully. Yay husband.
2. The power steering cylinder break (um, in half) on the Caddy. Husband successfully fixed this. Yay husband.
3. My van get rear-ended this morning. No noticeable damage even though I was hit fairly hard, and the girl that ran into me (I was stopped at a stoplight people!) was very, very apologetic and sweet (her--much nicer--car was also left with only barely-there scratches). From my end of things, there's not much that's going to hurt a '91 mini-van. I've had it for several years and the ol'e girl, while still chugging along, is putting in her last few winters here. I got the van when I was 19, used, for $1,000--so really, it's done me good.
Now the Car Gods should leave us alone for a while, right?
*kisses old hood ornament, turns around three times and spits*
In related news, my Mr. Fix-it Husband kinda rocks in my eyes right now (not that I didn't appreciate him already or anything).
