Sweet Freedom

pen_gruntThe husband is out of town--he's doing his good hunter-gatherer duty, killing fishes and bringing them back home for me to eat. I can almost taste the fresh, flaky Walleye now....mmmm.....
Anyway, though I dearly love spending time with the ole' ball-n-chain, I like my alone time too. I'm rather excited about a whole weekend to myself, and I can't quite decide what to do first:
--Read books! I have a huge stack from the library that has been begging for my attention outside of the flight cabin. I have The Red Tent, King Rat, Buster Callahan, Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice waiting for me--along with many others that I own but haven't read yet.
--Watch movies (that Derrick would never want to watch with me) like Fiddler on the Roof, Midnight Cowboy, Yentil, The Guns of Navarone, Deer Hunter (okay, he'd watch that one with me), and shows like Animaniacs, Loony Tunes and The Collected Disney Cartoons.
--Super-clean the house (because he's a closet mess-maker, and stuff just isn't organized). This would allow me to do things that only I like...like re-alphabetizing and categorizing my books (glee!).
--Bra shopping (because I'm a good wife and don't subject him to that).
--Something else....that involves sleeping in and vegging out.
It's going to snow this weekend (rumor has it that it'll be quite intense) so I don't have to leave the house. . . I can just curl up on the radiator bench and do whatever. Sweet bliss!
