I went to Treadle Yardgoods (Saint Paul) and Crafty Planet (NE Minneapolis) today to try to find cool fabric.

Verdict: CP has cooler fabric and more stuff I like.

TY has a sales person who didn't act like it was a huge inconvenience to cut my fabric.

So they're about equal then. (Seriously, I get it. CP cashier/counter person was dealing with some interpersonal drama. You can act at least a little bit like you don't hate the fact that I've disturbed your inner turmoil. Just for a second.)

Also the feel-good natural and local toy store, Peapods, is going out of business so tons of people were there. It was super sad since they have cool toys and I didn't really get a chance to shop there before the tiny one was born. They weren't cheap, but y'know...buy local or places like that go out of business. I try, but it's often so much easier to just order from Amazon and have things delivered to my door. I have to be better about that.

Pea pods wasn't open on Sunday, which made it hard for me to shop there. I know, there is Saturday but I never thought about going there on Saturday.

Same here before the baby. I've walked by it a ton because we used to go to brunch with Derrick's college friends there on Sundays. It has cool stuff though.
