I said the same thing to my epidural lady. I told her she was the best person ever. I bet they hear that a lot. It must be a pretty satisfying line of work.

I was sort of seeing how far I could go, but I was only 1cm for hours with pitocin...and the doctor told me it would typically take about 10 more hours to get to 4cm...and I was contacting regularly and hard.
There was so much nope. So glad you and eyelid both told me to just do it.
They are! I want to tell everyone I know about them. And I think everyone should have the feeling of being in that much pain and having it suddenly go away...because it's marvelous.
I remember returning to a 'human' state once I got mine - I re-introduced myself to all the nurses. I was like, 'now that I'm a normal person again...' haha. :)
I had a really hard, fast labor though, and Sasha was face up (muy awful on the pain scale), so I think it was a lot worse at the onset than those that don't have those circumstances in play.

Thank GOODNESS Nadia was face-down. I had an anterior placenta, so there was a slightly higher chance of a face-up baby. She did have the cord wrapped (loosely) around her neck twice, but otherwise there weren't complications on HER end.
Oh yes, I can't speak enough good things about epidurals! ha ha...There's no way a baby would have come out of me vaginally if it weren't for epidurals!
I was totally at the point where I was like: Get this baby out of me NOW I DON'T CARE HOW YOU HAVE TO DO IT. I love the epidural, the nurse who advocated for me, and the doctor who gave it to me.
If i had to do it all over again, when I had Leslie, i would have said epidurial before i even got into the bed. I did not have drugs with her. I was,at first, I took Lamaze, I dont need them. Yea, i was stupid but I did break my ex husbands finger (evil smile) when he asked to feel my pain. Could not reach his balls. At the end I had this precious baby but i did remember the pain, so when I had Shannon, i said, drugs first please.
