Strange things.
Feb. 1st, 2006 06:21 pmIs there any logical reason why I'm ecstatic about buying new underware? No? Well maybe it's just me then. Perhaps it's a chemical thing?
So there's this one commercial that bugs the shit out of me. It's the commercial where some "down-to-earth" honest-to-goodness maxipad spokesperson approaches an "unsuspecting" woman in the feminine hygiene aisle. She strikes up a conversation with the woman, casually asking, "Does your pad every feel wet or sticky?"
I always think, "Who the fuck talks like this," and, "It's really creepy to be approached to talk about wet and sticky things."
Then I went into Target today, brought some products, and had this crazy lady start ranting and raving about *eehmm* sticky and wet things in relation to her "products." At least she finished up her testimonial by letting me know that at the Target on Lake Street, "pads" were 3 for $7. . .
Only in the ghetto, my friend, only in the ghetto.
Weirdness.
I also get ecstatic about things like reorganizing files, recategorizing my books, etc. . . *raises eyebrows*
