Baby Baby.
Mar. 14th, 2008 09:44 amNext weekend is Easter (which I completely didn't realize since I'm still thinking its, oh, say, January).
What does this mean?
A week from this Monday (the Monday after Easter), I'm going to have a new baby niece or nephew. The baby was originally "due" April 8th, but they wanted to schedule a c-section earlier (my S-I-L had one previously because my niece was breech).
It's odd--babies seem so conceptual. I mean, I get the fact that there's going to be a new baby, but to have a baby there--from nothing--is unreal to me yet.
Auntie better get her spoiling hat on. ;)
Additionally, if it's a boy, I owe Derrick a nice, huge, home-cooked dinner. (And my niece will want to name him Prince Eric or King Triton.)
If it's a girl, I get a dinner at a fancy-schmancy place. (And my niece wants to name her Ariel.)
Yes, we place bets on babies.
Additionally, you shouldn't let a 5-year-old name her baby brother or sister.
