pen_grunt | Hey, maybe I should write more

Once upon a time, I made it so all of my LJ entries automatically imported into Facebook notes. I've since shut this feature off because, well, my FB is now infiltrated by in-laws and all manner of people that I sorta-kinda have to make nice-nice with and perhaps wouldn't appreciate hearing about things like my obsession with new underwear, cats and cats in new underwear. (You know not hilarity until you've seen cats in new underwear.) And the like.

So I shut off the notes section on FB. Now, I feel compelled to write a FB note, so I'm opening it back up and going through and deleting all the LJ entries (particularly the ones that go something like, "Oh crap. In-laws are coming over."). [Disclaimer: My in-laws are actually pretty awesome, I just hate having to clean the house and entertain people more Minnesotan than I--so neither one of us ever feels that it's polite to end the conversation.]

And you know what? There's actually some fairly amusing stuff in there. I mean, I know it's pretty narcissistic to be amused by one's self, but there's stuff that I didn't remember and in hindsight think is fairly funny.

I should start recording that stuff again. Because...because...because... Well, I'm not sure why. But stuff happens to me. And I feel like I should be compelled to write more than 1-2x per month.
