Mother-Mother Part 2
Nov. 12th, 2009 05:03 pmI'm arranging a bonfire for immediate family for my dad's birthday. Because it's, well, a bonfire and said brush and appropriate field are at my parents' place...it kind of has to be there. (You try burning a 20 foot pile of brush on a city lot in Saint Paul and see how they like it.)
I was talking to my mom about dinner beforehand, and hosting the event.
I, awkwardly--as is my m.o.--apologize for the takeover, "I'm sorry, mom, I kinda feel like I'm inviting myself over..."
"Well, that's okay. We're your parents, you're supposed to invite yourself over to your parents' house."
Well okay then. No standing on ceremony here, anymore.
