Booky-things
Oct. 2nd, 2012 11:42 amI'm doing edits on Uninteresting and Tough script.
I didn't end up getting myself a keychain present last time, so this morning I bought myself The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There.
I'm excited. Because The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making was SUCH an awesome book. Seriously, hand it to every 9-14 year old girl you know (younger if they're advanced). Or boy. Or, you know, read it yourself. It has shades of Wizard of Oz, but mostly it's its own thing.
The Orphan's Tales (same author) is also really, really good. That's in shades of Arabian Nights but...also not. And mostly its own thing. (I would say, though, that this is a much more adult book unless the reader is VERY advanced and you're okay with some adult concepts.)
And now I need to stop thinking about magical books and start editing unmagical scripts. Boo.
