I ran a mile at 6mph yesterday (and another three miles at various other, slower speeds). My mom was over and I basically tossed the baby at her and asked if it was okay for me to disappear for 45-60 min. If the baby went nuclear she could come get me. She assured me she knew what to do with a fussy baby.
It was great. Lately I've gotten to jog a small bit and then baby gets fussy so I put her in the ergo and walk the rest of the way...much more slowly.
The child usually just has one feeding between 4 and 6 a.m. now. And after that I have to pump the other side. So I become awake enough to have a bit of trouble going back to sleep. D suggested that I change my run to this early morning time.
It seemed like it might be a good idea last night. But here I am at 5 a.m. and....newp. Not a good idea. Worst idea ever. Even though I need a bit to get back to sleep, I'm not giving up the extra hour or two that I do get.
That way lies madness.
