Thought of the weekend...

My Grandfather, as taken by his fiance (later to be my Grandmother) in 1939:



The caption on the bottom, "It's the suit that counts," is indicative of an unstoppable optimism in the face of cut-off faces. This is one of the first in a long line of weird, unusual, and captioned photographs that accompanied my Grandparents' 50+ year marriage.
