They've been around for a couple of days, so I surmise they're getting too big for their parents to eat them (as is usually the case with fry).
Derrick named them "Gulp" and "Ahab".
Imagine if humans ate their young upon delivery. . . then again, if I had 20-100 babies at one time, I'd probably want to knock a few of them off as well.
