Honeymooners

Okay, so we've decided that we're only going to get married once, and should therefore take an appropriate splurgy-type Honeymoon. We both kind of want to go overseas somewhere (I've never been out of the country...unless Montreal counts) and make it an official Honeymoon. You know, as opposed to the "build the basement on the house" honeymoon that MY parents had, and the "okay, back to work and change the baby's diapers" honeymoon that HIS parents had.

Sure . . . , make me choose just one . . .

Well, you could always list your top three in this little listy space down here :)

Yeah, one thing that I may want to take into consideration is the month. November. Hurricane season (thus no Mexico) and cold season (thus Scotland is kind of a long shot).

Yeah, I know . . . we've had that conversation. Granted, you could always do a belated Honeymoon when the weather is nicer? *shrugs*

Yeah, the only problem being that if I delay it, I know it'll never happen.

This tends to be the case with honeymoons (so I hear) moreso than many other things.

True true . . .

Since you've chosen November, my recommendation from your list is Italy (though the weather could be troublesome in the North), Spain (especially the south), or New Zealand. I would have recommended Tahiti, but November is not the best time (it gets more humid) -- though it is a marvelous place to honeymoon (Tamara and I went there).

France is a bit chilly in November and Scotland is more than a bit chilly.

ITALY!!!!!

Last time I checked Montreal was in Canada and yes Canada is its own country !

But I am shocked - dismayed even - that Ireland isn't on your short list.

:-P

Actually Sweden was our first choice for obvious reasons, but was voted out because it's friggin freezing in November. That's why Ireland and Scotland really aren't in the running. . .
