Mr. Magic Husband

I haven't seen any tax forms from my employer yet. This is not entirely unusual. I casually mentioned this to Derrick with moderate concern.

"Of course you've gotten them silly--I pulled all your tax stuff from the mail and I'm doing your taxes."

Ta-da! I hated doing my taxes when I was single. Sometimes I love being married. Derrick just does stuff because he likes/wants/feels obligated to do it. No asking, no assuming, just doing. It's like magic.

I don't have to change my oil anymore either. Or cook.

I am infinitely grateful for my magic husband. He also makes me laugh till my sides hurt and I feel like I'm going to throw up. *glow*

That's the sort of thing that might be mildly disturbing in some cases, but it sounds like its working out great for you. So yay super tax husband!

I really should have mentioned that he's my financial adviser (it's his profession). That makes it less creepy as well. Also: he's done both our taxes for the last two years, but I've had to gather statements and such.

That makes it make more sense, though it still would be good to be informed that your taxes had arrived and were being taken care of, so you didn't think you were still waiting for them. But it all came out ok in the end.

Gawwww . . . that's so freakin' sugar-sweet! And it's really all about the not telling you he's doing something sweet for you . . . 'cause he just wouldn't do that.

You gots you a good one, y'do, y'do . . .
